As we started off our bootcamp program in new schools in Chittagong, Bangladesh, we engaged our girls in a range of activities, getting to know them through hands-on projects and open conversations.
Young girls in Bangladesh shared deeply personal stories—how some of their sisters were married off as children, how they themselves had been at risk of early marriage, and how they lean on friendships to navigate these challenges.
What stood out was their love for creating—art, crafts, DIY projects.
But this wasn’t just about fun; they were problem-solvers, turning everyday materials into something useful, personalizing their spaces, and already thinking about how they could grow these skills into something bigger.
